Public Information Points
We are working with local regeneration initiatives, public service providers and community organisations to establish new Information Points. These are where members of the public can easily access information about their rights and entitlements, pick up useful resources such as Debt and Credit Self-Help packs as well as find out where to go for further advice and assistance.
We hope to establish at least 36 new Information Points across East London by March 2007.
Each Information Point consists of a carousel displaying a wide number of different packs of information leaflets. The various information packs have been developed specifically to meet different needs within local communities, for example:
families with children (including lone parents)
those that are divorced or separated
older people
the sick, disabled and their carers
the unemployed
those in work or seeking work
coping with bereavement
